Wellington Correctional Centre

We will inspect Wellington Correctional Centre. 

• Wellington Correctional Centre is a facility that accommodates up to 589 sentenced and unsentenced men and women
• the centre is located on Wiradjuri land in Wellington, approximately 350km from Sydney.

Our inspection will focus on:

• custodial conditions, including safety and security
• treatment, care and wellbeing of inmates, including privacy
• programs, education, and preparation for release
• resources and systems, including the staffing and management.

The Inspector of Custodial Services may consider any other relevant matters in the course of this inspection.
