South Coast Correctional Centre

We will inspect South Coast Correctional Centre. 

• South Coast Correctional Centre is a facility that accommodates up to 928 sentenced and unsentenced men
• the centre is located on Yuin land in Nowra, approximately 167km south of Sydney.

Our inspection will focus on:

• custodial conditions, including safety and security
• treatment, care and wellbeing of inmates, including privacy
• programs, education, and preparation for release
• resources and systems, including the staffing and management.

The Inspector of Custodial Services may consider any other relevant matters in the course of this inspection.
