Junee Correctional Centre

We will be inspecting Junee Correctional Centre in 2023.

• Junee Correctional Centre is a large complex facility that accommodates up to 1,270 minimum, medium and maximum sentenced men
• The centre also includes a female transition unit, which provides short-term accommodation for women
• the centre is located in Junee, in the Riverina region of New South Wales.

Our inspection will focus on:

• custodial conditions, including safety and security
• treatment, care and wellbeing of inmates, including privacy
• programs, education, and preparation for release
• resources and systems, including the staffing and management.

The Inspector of Custodial Services may consider any other relevant matters in the course of this inspection.
